Ngozi Nwosu’s Early Life
Ngozi Nwosu was born on the 1st of August 1963 and she is currently 56 years old. She might have grown up in Lagos state but she is a native of Arochukwu in Abia State, Southeastern Nigeria. Her father was a Biafran soldier during the Nigerian civil war and he was killed during the war. The veteran Nollywood actress is fluent in her native language — Igbo and Yoruba as well. She had her primary education at St. Paul Anglican School, Idi Oro. Later on, she proceeded to Maryland Comprehensive High School, Ikeja. She was professionally trained in acting by Reverend Fabian Oko at the Royal Theatre Art club school.
Ngozi Nwosu’s Career
A lot of people may have known Ngozi Nwosu from the popular sitcom movie “Fuji House of Commotion”. She played the role of “Peace” who was the third wife of Chief Fuji. “Fuji House of Commotion” might have made her more popular but it wasn’t her first movie. Ngozi Nwosu began her acting career while she was still attending classes at the Royal Theatre Art club school. Surprisingly, most of her movies during her days at the school were done in Yoruba. She featured in her first movie by playing the role of “Madam V Boot” in the television series “Ripples”. Afterward, she featured in a movie titled “Living in Bondage”. Ngozi Nwosu is believed to be the first Nollywood actress to kiss on a movie set during her romantic session with Kenneth Okonkwo.
Ngozi Nwosu had a major setback in her career when she took ill in 2012. After a series of test, she was reportedly diagnosed with kidney disease. Thanks to the intervention of government and some Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), she was taken abroad for proper treatment. To show how strong she is as a woman, Ngozi Nwosu got back to acting after her treatment. Ngozi Nwosu played the role of Ene in the Nigerian animation film “Sade” in 2018. She played the role of a woman that failed to make use of what she had until she lost it. In addition, Ngozi Nwosu is also a movie producer just like most actors and actresses in the movie industry. She has produced movies like Evil Passion, Stainless and the radio show, Onga.
Also, Ngozi Nwosu has made cameo appearances in music videos of Nigerian musicians like Chidinma Ekile, Flavour, Phyno and Fair Prince.
