Femi Lateef Adebayo is an indigene of Ilorin, Kwara state but he was born in Lagos on the 31st of December 1972. His father, Adebayo Salami is a popular Yoruba Nollywood actor and a very successful one at that. A lot of people knew him as Oga Bello during his reign in the movie industry. Femi Adebayo attended the University of Ilorin where he earned a Bachelor degree in law and a Masters degree in Theatre Arts. In addition, he is currently studying for his Doctorate in law at the University of Ilorin. According to him, all the children of Oga Bello are well educated. Femi Adebayo isn’t just an actor, but also a writer, a director, a producer, and also a special lawyer.

Femi Adebayo had the ambition of becoming a layer since when he was still a kid. However, he started building an interest in acting after seeing his father on the screen. Afterward, he decided to venture into acting. Thanks to his father`s support and guidance, he ended being a very successful actor. Femi Adebayo began his acting career way back in 1995 where he featured in the popular TadeOgidan’s movie, Owo Blow. In addition to his movie career, he was the former Special Adviser to the Governor of Kwara State on Arts, Culture and Tourism.
Furthermore, his successful career has come with a lot of awards to show for it. Femi Adebayo won the award for Best Yoruba Actor at the 17th African Film Awards. Also, he went home with the Best Yoruba Actor at the Best of Nollywood Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria Awards in 2012. Other awards include:

- City People Movie Awards For Best Actor of the Year (Yoruba) (2017)
Femi Adebayo has starred in over a hundred Yoruba/English movies (home videos) and has also won the hearts of a lot of people in Nigeria and abroad, who are fans of Yoruba movies.

In addition, Femi Adebayo established a film school called J-15 School of Performing Arts, located in Ibadan for those interested in acting. The school has over 150 graduates to its name since its establishment. By the way, some of the graduates are lecturers of Theatre Arts in various Universities across the country.
