Also, these actors have laid a solid foundation on which future Nollywood generations can act upon. Bukunmi Oluwashina is a perfect example of a future Nollywood prospect. The young Nollywood actress has achieved a lot of success at a very young age. Bukunmi Oluwashina has managed to combine her acting career with her education. So, for those of you that don’t really know much about her, let’s take a closer look into the life of BukunmiOluwashina.

Bukunmi Oluwashina was born into the family of 7 in early 1990 in Ekiti state. She is the third child and she graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University where she studied Theatre Arts. She is a songwriter, scriptwriter, soundtrack composer and producer. Her blockbuster movie was “Ayomi” (“My joy”) which was written and produced by her. The movie was shot in July 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria, and was officially released on the 21st of September 2015. For the most part, the movie laid a good foundation for the soon to be Nollywood star. Her début movie Ayomi has won many awards and got a number of nominations including the 2015 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards in the Best Indigenous Movie (Yoruba), the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON Awards), MAYA Awards, and ACI Awards.

Also, the movie was said to have been produced while she was still in school. As a result, she had to look for a way to properly manage her time to combine her work with school related project.

Bukunmi Oluwashina went on to feature in several movies after the success of “Ayo mi”. Some of her movies include

Music Career

A lot of people may not know this but Bukunmi Oluwashina is the brain behind soundtracks used in many Yoruba films. In fact, to prove her unique talent, she has release different soundtracks for her films all alone. She also has several hit songs like Jigi, EazyEazy, and others.

Family and Relationship

Bukunmi Oluwashina is believed to be in a relationship but not with someone in the movie industry. Particularly because according to her, she doesn’t mix business with pleasure. In addition, Bukunmi revealed her strong dissatisfaction with the increasing rate of young girls turning to ‘baby mama’.
